Add Banner Admin Pages URL to Java Exceptions List - Windows 10

Step 1.  Right-click Start and click Control Panel.

Step 2.  In the list of items, click Java.

Step 3.  From the Security tab, click the Edit Site List… button.

Step 4.  Click the Add button and type in the Banner Admin Pages URL.

Step 5.  Click the OK button to return to the Java Control Panel. You will see the new Banner URL in the Exception Site List. You have successfully added the new Banner Admin Pages URL to your Java Exception Site List.

Clear Java Cache

Step 1.  In the General Tab, click Settings under Temporary Internet Files.

Step 2.  A new window opens labeled, Temporary Files Settings. Click Delete Files.

Step 3.  A confirmation box opens asking to delete the files. Select all the boxes to ensure deletion of the entire cache. Click OK.

Step 4.  Click OK in the Temporary Files Settings window.

Step 5.  Click OK in the Java Control Panel window.

Access Banner Admin Pages for the first time

Step 1.  Type the new Banner Admin Pages URL into a browser.

A dialog box opens asking if you wish to run this application. It also states that your computer and personal information may be at risk.

Check Do not show this again for apps from the publisher and location above.

This prevents this dialog box from opening each time you access Banner Admin Pages.

Click the Run button.

A dialog box opens. The message states, We recommend running the application with the latest version of Java on your computer.”

Step 2.  Click the Run with the latest version button

A security warning dialog box opens. The message states, The application will run with unrestricted access which may put your computer and personal information at risk.

Step 3. 

  • Select the check box: “I accept the risk and want to run this application.”
  • Select the check box: Do not show this again for apps from the publisher and location above.”

Click the Run button.
