Overview

To "map" or "mount" a drive means to create a shortcut to a resource you often use, such as a Piratedrive folder. Please be connected on campus (INTRA) or through a VPN connection

Requirements

  1. On Campus: Connect through INTRA.
  2. Off campus: Connect through the ECU VPN.
  3. To mount a drive to a department Piratedrive (or other NAS) folder, ask an admin for the folder name.

Instructions

Step 1

Open Finder.

Step 2

Press Command + K to open the Connect to Server window.

Step 3

Enter the network drive path. Example: smb://piratedrive.intra.ecu.edu/HOME. The name of your folder is "HOME."

If you are mapping to another network-attached storage option, your URL will be different.

Step 4

Click Connect

Step 5

Enter your ECU login credentials. Click Connect.
