Overview
Most devices on the ECU network use dynamic IP addressing, where the IP address periodically changes. However, certain computer programs (Timekeeper, for example) require that a device be assigned a static IP address that does not change.
In special circumstances, some users may require a static IP address for a device with a functional requirement.
