Information to help you view and update your personal MyWeb website.

View your website

Your MyWeb URL is: https://myweb.ecu.edu/yourPirateID

If your website does not display using this URL, check that your home page is named one of the following:

  • index.htm
  • index.html
  • index.php
  • default.htm
  • default.html
  • default.php

Edit your website

There are two ways to access your MyWeb site for editing:

Option 1. PiratePanel (recommended)

The recommended method for editing your MyWeb site is through the online application, PiratePanel.

Option 2. File Transfer Protocol (FTP)

File Transfer Protocol (FTP) is a way to transfer files between your computer and your MyWeb website folder. We recommend FileZilla - though any FTP client will work. You need to be on campus or connected to the VPN network. See these instructions for configuring FileZilla.

FTP settings:

  • Host: sftpmyweb.ecu.edu
  • Protocol: SFTP
  • Username: your PirateID
  • Default remote directory: /yourPirateID
