Overview

Information to help you view and update your personal MyWeb website.

View your website

Your MyWeb URL is: https://myweb.ecu.edu/yourPirateID.

If your website does not display using this URL, check that your home page is named one of the following:

  • index.htm
  • index.html
  • index.php
  • default.htm
  • default.html
  • default.php

Edit your website

There are two ways to access your MyWeb site for editing. NOTE: Access requires being on campus or connected to the VPN.

Option 1. PiratePanel (recommended)

The recommended method for editing your MyWeb site is through the online application, PiratePanel.

Option 2. File Transfer Protocol (FTP)

File Transfer Protocol (FTP) is a way to transfer files between your computer and your MyWeb website folder. We recommend FileZilla - though any FTP client will work. See these instructions for configuring FileZilla.

FTP settings:

  • Host: sftpmyweb.ecu.edu
  • Protocol: SFTP
  • Username: your PirateID
  • Default remote directory: /yourPirateID
