Process - Adobe CC & Adobe Express Licensing

Students

1. Students can choose one of three products:
   • Adobe Creative Cloud (Adobe CC) professional suite. Request license through the Adobe Products Licensing ticket. Only request if you have coursework that requires the full version. 
   • Adobe Express Premium. This free license is offered to students through the Student My Portal.
   • Adobe Acrobat. Request license through the Adobe Products Licensing ticket. Only request if you have coursework that requires this app. 
2. License is provided by ECU; no fees required.
3. Contract duration is 3 years (FY26, FY27, FY28). Annual renewal required.
4. Students are sent a licensing email with download instructions to My portal. 
5. This software is requested and downloaded as a self-service.
6. By downloading the software, student agrees software is for ECU purposes only.
7. This software can only be installed on one computer. 
8. An unused license can be revoked.
9. License ends when ECU account is deactivated. Student agrees to remove Adobe from computer. Student is responsible for exporting content.
10. Graduates! See this Adobe Express presentation on transferring your creations, photos and files to a personal space since your ECU Adobe license expires after graduation.
11. License includes 400GB Adobe cloud-based storage. No sensitive data storage allowed.
12. By downloading software student agrees to Adobe's General Terms of Use.
     

Faculty and Staff

1. Faculty and staff can choose one of three products:
   • Adobe Creative Cloud (Adobe CC) professional suite. Request license through the Adobe Products Licensing ticket. 
   • Adobe Express Premium for coursework. Request license through the Adobe Products Licensing ticket. 
   • Adobe Acrobat. Request license through the Adobe Products Licensing ticket. Only request if you have job duties that require this app. Note that it is included in the Adobe CC suite.
2. A business justification is required.
3. License provided by ECU; no fees required.
4. Faculty/staff install the Creative Cloud desktop app through the Company Portal (Windows) or Adobe.com (macOS and personal computers) to manage apps, fonts, stock photos, etc. 
5. Software may be installed on two computers (ECU-owned and/or personal).
6. Contract duration is 3 years (FY26, FY27, FY28). Annual renewal required.

8. License ends if employee leaves ECU. Employee agrees to remove Adobe from computer/s and mobile devices. Employee is responsible for exporting content.
