Both Walk-in IT Help Desk locations re-open Monday, August 3, to assist faculty and staff preparing for fall semester. However, we must limit the number of people in our offices at any one time as part of our COVID-19 protocol.

Therefore, each location will operate as an appointment-only service for user assistance. Opscan exam grading will be drop-off service only.

If you require assistance with mobile email setup, computer issues, eduroam onboarding, software installation or any computer-related issue please book your appointment through our MS Booking page.

Students: Pirate Techs in 139 Main Campus Student Center will be open for walk-in support during the First Move-In Session (July 22-25) and Second Move-In Session (July 29-Aug 1) from 10:00am-5:00pm. Pirate Techs staff are available to answer questions and provide students with support related to installing software and connecting students to the Eduroam Wifi network. Hardware repairs should be directed to your computer manufacturer or warranty provider.
Faculty, Students and Staff: Many ECU Pirates will be working, teaching and learning from home during this time. Please see the ECU IT Tools and Resources for Teleworking news post for online collaboration how-to's, managing your office telephone, web meetings, access and storage of class/work documents and more.

When working remotely, we recommend the Jabber software to make and receive phone calls through your personal device. This way, you avoid long distance charges to your office phone. Submit the Jabber Account service request to have your account enabled.
