Overview
“User XXXX not authorized to access XXXX” is an error related to a user’s access in Banner, and it means that the user does not have the permissions needed to access the object/page (TOADTEST/TFAMISC in this example). To be granted access, follow these steps to submit a Banner Security Request through PiratePort.

Step 1
Use your web browser to access ECU PiratePort.
Step 2
Log in using your ECU pirate ID and password.
Step 3
Use PiratePort's search bar (top) to find the Banner Security Request.

Step 4
Select the Banner Security Request application from the search results.
Step 5
In the BANNER SECURITY REQUEST application, click the Request Security option.

Step 6
Check the box of the module associated with the security access needed (You will need to click the underlined link to the right of the check box to complete the module requirements).
Step 7
In the comments box of the Banner Security Request form, type what page/object access is needed (TOADEST and TFAMISC in this example).

Step 8
Click submit on the Banner Security Request form.
