Overview
Follow these steps to create a backup of your Microsoft Authenticator App settings. Install the backup when setting up a new mobile phone to avoid getting locked out or recreating accounts. Note: You can only backup and restore on the same device type. iOS to iOS, Android to Android.
Install your backup to a new mobile phone. Sign in to your backup account (iCloud, for example) on the new device and install the Authenticator app. Open Authenticator and tap Restore from backup before signing in to Authenticator.
Step 1. Open the Authenticator App's Settings page (upper left menu icon)
Step 2. In Settings, tap to toggle on the BACKUP option.
Step 3. Tap Add account.
Step 4. Type in your ECU email address.
Step 5. Click OK to complete the backup.
