Canvas External User Account

Overview

An external account can be requested by a faculty or staff sponsor for a non-ECU user who requires access to participate in a curricular Canvas course.

Approval Process

This process may take up to 5 business days.

1. Once this request is received, ECU Canvas admins email the external user to request agreement to FERPA policy and the Accessing Curricular Canvas Courses Standard Operating Procedure.
2. After agreement is received, the account is created and added to the requested course.
