Tutorial - Copy/Move a Batch to an Application

Overview

Xtender is an imaging and storage system used by administrative staff to capture, organize and retrieve paper and computer-generated documents at ECU.

Step 1

Log in to Xtender. Open the batch to be moved or copied from Manage Batches.

Under the Batch heading, choose the Copy Move Pages icon. The Copy or Move Pages to New Batch dialog box opens.

Step 3

  • Document Pages field:
    • By default, the entire page range is shown.
    • Otherwise, type in a page range or separate pages: Examples: “1-3” or “1, 3, 5” or “1-3, 5”
  • Target Application field. Select the application receiving the batch.
  • Batch Name. Name the new batch based on your department standards. The default is your username , creation date and time.
  • Batch Security. Choose Public.
  • Index New Document checkbox:
    • Checked. After the batch is moved/copied, it automatically opens to be indexed.
    • Unchecked. After the batch is moved/copied, the workflow continues as expected.

Step 4

After completing all fields, choose either Copy or Move.
