Annual Quality Review
Xtender primary application approvers conduct an annual quality review within their application. This spot check of random documents ensures that these documents meet specific quality standards. The complete guidelines are outlined in this IT Knowledge Base article, Conduct an Annual Review.
Biannual Security Review
NC audit guidelines require Xtender security reviews be conducted at least twice annually by the employee’s supervisor and that the primary application be approved. These reviews are conducted by the employee’s supervisor and the primary application approver.
The approval schedule and process:
- Supervisors receive an email reminder from ecubic@ecu.edu each April and October to review and approve Banner and Xtender security for their employees.
- The supervisor then works with employees to ensure access is still required for job duties. If access is not required, it is revoked.
- The email contains complete instructions for conducting the review and revoking unnecessary access.
