Overview

View and edit your My Web HTML website.

View your website

Your MyWeb URL is: https://myweb.ecu.edu/yourPirateID.

If your website does not display using this URL, check that your home page is named one of the following:

  • index.htm
  • index.html
  • default.htm
  • default.html
  • home.htm
  • home.html

Note: The Core server was renamed to MyWeb in 2014, but the core.ecu.edu addresses still work.

Edit your website

There are two different ways to access your website for editing:

Option 1. Network Drive

Access your site through a mapped network drive. If you’re off campus, connect to the ECU Virtual Private Network (VPN) first.

  • macOS - smb://myweb/secure/yourPirateID
  • Windows - \\myweb\secure\yourPirateID\

Option 2. File Transfer Protocol (FTP)

ITCS recommends FileZilla, but you may use any FTP client software. Below are the FTP settings to connect to your site. If you’re off campus, connect to the ECU Virtual Private Network (VPN) first.

  • Host: ftpmywebsecure.ecu.edu
  • Port: 2021
  • Encryption: Require explicit FTP over TLS
  • User: intra\yourPirateID
