Note: The Core server was renamed to MyWeb in 2014, but the core.ecu.edu addresses still work.
Edit Your Website
There are three different ways to access your website for editing:
Option 1. PiratePanel
Log in to PiratePanel at piratepanel.ecu.edu and click Manage Web Space. Select your site and use the provided applications and tools.
Option 2. Network Drive
Access your site through a mapped network drive. If you’re off campus, connect to the ECU Virtual Private Network (VPN) first.
Secure space:
- macOS - smb://myweb/secure/yourPirateID
- Windows - \\myweb\secure\yourPirateID\
Basic space (older site):
- macOS - smb://myweb/coreprod/yourPirateID
- Windows - \\myweb\coreprod\yourPirateID\
Option 3. File Transfer Protocol (FTP)
ITCS recommends FileZilla, but you may use any FTP client software. Below are the FTP settings to connect to your site. If you’re off campus, connect to the ECU Virtual Private Network (VPN) first.
Secure space:
- Host: ftpmywebsecure.ecu.edu
- Port: 2021
- Encryption: Require explicit FTP over TLS
- User: intra\yourPirateID
Basic space (older site):
- Host: ftpmyweb.ecu.edu
- Port: 21
- Encryption: Require explicit FTP over TLS
- User: intra\yourPirateID
