What is passwordless login?
Skip the password! ECU now allows four passwordless authentication methods – Phone, Microsoft Authenticator app, Yubico security key, and Windows Hello for Business (ECU-managed Windows 11 only).
Key benefits
- Convenience – Quicker sign on with no waiting for a text or phone call.
- Security – No easily-cracked password, phished email, intercepted text or spoofed phone call.
- Mobile – The Yubico security key* and MS Authenticator app allow you to log in to any device; WHfB is specific for your ECU-managed Windows 11 computer.
- Simplicity – Your 15-digit ECU password is still required but becomes a backup login.
- Privacy – Your login information is saved to the key (yubico) or device (WHfB) or is not required (MS Authenticator code or number match).
*Yubico brand only, mfr #8880001080 - USB-A or C; FIDO U2F/FIDO2 certified
