What is changing?
The Microsoft OneDrive LTI integrated with Canvas has been replaced by the Microsoft Education OneDrive LTI. As part of this transition, ECU Canvas is migrating from the classic Microsoft OneDrive LTI to the OneDrive app within Microsoft Education for Canvas.

Do I need to take any action to access the upgraded Microsoft Education OneDrive tool?
No action is required. The Microsoft Education OneDrive tool integrates into your existing Canvas-OneDrive experience.
Are my existing files and data affected by the upgrade?
Your existing files and data remain intact; however, you will need to re-link any files to the new Microsoft Education OneDrive using the OneDrive Migration Tool.
How do the changes affect course copies?
If copied courses link to the previous Microsoft OneDrive tool, use the OneDrive Migration Tool after the course copy is complete to create new links to the updated Microsoft Education OneDrive tool.
Can I continue using the OneDrive Canvas integration in the same way after the upgrade?
Yes. The upgraded Microsoft Education OneDrive retains all the core functionalities you're familiar with while allowing access to your individual ECU OneDrive as well as folders or documents shared with you.
Are there training resources available to help me get acquainted with the upgraded features?
Yes. You will be able to request training, as needed. Submit the Microsoft 365 Instructional Support ticket to request training.
Am I able to use Microsoft Education OneDrive in any Canvas course?
Yes. You should be able to use Microsoft Education OneDrive in any Canvas course.
