Overview

The project office provides both project planning and management support services from our team of highly-trained project managers. As a supportive project management office, we not only facilitate projects, but we also focus on providing expert guidance to the ECU community.

We currently provide the following resources:

Consulting & Mentoring

Consulting & Mentoring can be formal or informal and the project office is in a great place to seek both. We’ll match inexperienced, junior project managers/leads with experienced project managers, allowing them to share and learn from each other.

Coaching

Coaching is different from mentoring in that coaches generally don’t give advice. The project office can facilitate a learning environment where qualified/credentialed project management professionals train less experienced project managers/leads.

Reporting

A major focus of the project office is reporting. We assist you in thinking about your current reporting and what you need to gather for your reporting needs to be accurate and useful.

Peer Reviews

Peer reviews are an informal check of how a project is going. Because a project manager is very close to the action, they can find it difficult to step back and see the bigger picture. An independent third party can do that – someone from the project office can help.
