Skip to a section: Option 1. Self-Service Portal | Option 2. Visit a Pirate Techs Technology Support Center | Option 3. Submit Password Reset Request

Overview

Occasionally, a password expires or locks and must be reset. We recommend the self-service online portal (Option 1) as the most convenient method for resetting your password. However, if you need help, we are happy to assist. See options 2 and 3.

Option 1. Self-Service Maintenance Portal (Recommended)

The steps below are for current faculty, staff, students, retirees, unpaid affiliates (ECU users) and alumni who have already activated their PirateID account. First-time users will be prompted to enroll. For an overview and instructions (all users), see the Accounts - Access category in the IT Knowledge Base. Note that updating your password through the SSPR portal does not update any mobile app logins.

  2. Upload a picture of your 1 Card or any official government issued photo ID. Cover all info except your name and photo to protect your personal information.

Password reset requests are usually processed within 24 hours. ITCS staff makes every effort to process your request as soon as possible.
