Overview
ECU has updated our password management to a new self-service called PirateID Self Service. The pirateid.ecu.edu link remains the same but the interface is different, and you must set up your account when logging in for the first time. See the tutorial link in the Related Articles section.
Note: If you are faculty/staff using an ECU-managed Mac, continue to manage your password through the computer "locally." See the Related Articles section on this page for instructions.
Password Reset
Current ECU users follow these steps to reset their password. New users begin by following the process under the Forgot your password or Activate new account? tab.
Type in your full ECU email address, password and captcha characters. Select Login.
Step 2. Select an authentication option, then verify
your identity. The Change Password dialog box opens.
Step 3. Enter your current password. Create and type in,
then confirm, the new password.
Step 4. Log out through the account menu drop-down or
open the Enrollment tab to update your account.
