Overview

Microsoft's OneDrive is the only approved cloud storage solution for your ECU data and is available through your employee/student Microsoft 365 subscription and alumni email. Shared storage is also available for groups and departments. It's easy to use and works seamlessly with other 365 services like Teams and SharePoint. OneDrive also includes Office Online apps to create new and edit existing Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents online. Share and collaborate with ECU and non-ECU users.*

Get Started

Log in to online space: pirate365.ecu.edu (all users) - your portal page opens; click the OneDrive icon:
Desktop app: The OneDrive desktop app is set up on all ECU-managed computers, both Windows and macOS. OneDrive is part of the Windows 10/11 OS and is a download for macOS - add your ECU account for your personal computer.
Mobile app: Download through your device's app store. Add your ECU account.

Features and Benefits

Microsoft 365 Integration	OneDrive is used to store your individual work files. Microsoft Teams and SharePoint also have associated OneDrive file storage.
Sync	Sync non-sensitive data between your computer and OneDrive. DO NOT sync or store sensitive information to your computer - only store on OneDrive.
Capacity	Faculty, staff, students 5TB (request up to 25TB through this request); Alumni 100GB. Group/department folders are 1TB. Approved for both sensitive and non-sensitive data.
Access	Anywhere from any device.
*Share/Collaborate	Share non-sensitive files or folders with ECU and non-ECU users. Sensitive data can only be shared with ECU users.
Edit	Edit and create Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents within OneDrive. Shared files can be simultaneously edited by multiple users.
