To prevent the spread of malware throughout the wired network, file/folder sharing and collaboration is through OneDrive cloud storage, SharePoint and Piratedrive only. Direct folder/file sharing – giving another user direct access to a folder on your computer – is prohibited. Resources available to ECU user devices:
- Resources within the ECU Data Center including Piratedrive folders, both personal and department
- Resources accessed from departmental servers
- Printers
- AirMedia devices
- Microsoft Remote Desktop and Mac Screen Sharing services
- Virtual Private Network (VPN) services
- Web-hosted applications including WebEx and Microsoft Teams
- Internet resources external to the university
