Note: If you are faculty/staff using an ECU-managed Mac, continue to change your password through the computer "locally." See the Related Articles section on this page for instructions.

Overview

ECU uses a self-service password reset service called PirateID Self Service. On first log in to pirateid.ecu.edu, you are prompted to register with the PirateID Self Service system which includes setting up account authentication for this service.

Use PirateID Self Service to set your initial ECU password (new users), reset your password (annually) and to unlock your account.

Remember that account authentication (MFA/two-factor authentication) to access ECU resources like email, Canvas, etc., is managed through Microsoft 365 account settings. pirate365.ecu.edu

Enroll

Log in to pirateid.ecu.edu and follow these steps to enroll in the new PirateID Self Service.
